After the City of Edinburgh Council budget meeting on Thursday 21 February we spoke with Conservative councillor and group leader, Iain Whyte. The Tories has a plan in their alternative budget proposal to ditch the tram project and take the special dividend from Lothian the city’s bus operator, and spend that money on schools instead.
